The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. (Some weekend hours are required) and the pay range is $21.00-$22.50 per hour, pay is based on relative experience.
The Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Oversee the Buildings and Grounds workflow with support from Department Manager and Director.
- Assigns and schedules work to Buildings and Grounds staff and Contractors.
- Supervises workflow and reviews work for quality and proper materials and methods.
- Assures work assignments are completed in a timely manner and using best practices to meet customer needs.
- Performs in-the-field repairs and assists with Buildings and Grounds tasks as needed.
- Assures that preventative maintenance (PM) is performed on a timely basis and documented properly, including development of new PM routines.
- Identifies supplies and equipment needed to complete work assignments and scheduled maintenance.
- Ensures equipment training is provided to staff as necessary.
- Reviews maintenance workflow with Department Director weekly.
- Coordinates use of outside Contractors including review of work.
- Conveys maintenance and health and safety issues to the Department Director.
- Manages Maintenance On Call (MOC) schedule and assists with MOC duties on a rotating basis.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
- Minimum of a high school diploma and three years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or trades.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in an institutional or industrial environment.
- Possess all around mechanical trade skills including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
- Must have ability to lead a team of workers with diverse skills and demonstrated ability to learn and develop team skill sets through training.
- Must possess effective interpersonal skills, have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with the duties of the position.
- Must have flexible ability to work hours and assume on-call duties as assigned.
- Must possess valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.
