Our Community Supports Professional position is a Monday-Friday, day shift position. The hourly rate ranges from $18.50-19.70/hour depending on experience. As a Community Supports Professional, your main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Provide assistance, supervision and training for assigned individuals in accordance with the goals and support plans established for them in the program providing service.
• Drive and/ or assist people to activities and other services in a safe manner. Support individuals to manage themselves in a positive manner when in the community.
• Attends planning meetings, mandatory trainings, and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain awareness of changes in established care plans and/or changes in individual needs/conditions, and much more.

Qualifications:

• Prefer at least one year experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities
• An interest and desire to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of program and community settings.
• Physical ability to be on feet all day and perform the lifting and supporting of individuals as required by responsibilities listed.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications specific to departments to which position is assigned (this may include First Aid/CPR/AED, OPWDD Approved Behavior Management Intervention certification, or OPWDD Medication Administration Certification)
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier for driving positions; must maintain driver eligibility.
